About NGMC

NGMC exists to celebrate, elevate, and document the culture of Nigerian gospel music in a way that feels current, credible, and deeply connected to the people who love it. The charts are part of that, but the bigger idea is giving the sound, the stories, and the people behind it a home that reflects their real impact.

Nigerian gospel music did not begin as a trend. It comes out of church life, indigenous expression, worship traditions, community, testimony, and the many ways faith has been sung, lived, and shared across generations. NGMC exists to honour that heritage while making room for where the culture is going now.

Some listeners are in Nigeria. Some are in the diaspora. Some are discovering Nigerian gospel music from outside those communities entirely. NGMC is built to reflect that reality without losing sight of the roots, identity, and cultural language at the center of it all.

In simple terms, NGMC is a platform for Nigerian gospel music with a global horizon: rooted in the culture, open to the world, and committed to helping the music grow, travel, and be valued properly wherever it lands. We want to reflect the movement, but also help elevate the culture surrounding it.
