Public fan accounts

Public accounts are currently for fans and community discussion. Artist, label, management, distributor, and business account tools may come later, but they are not part of this first public account release.

• You must use an email address you control.
• You may need to confirm your email before signing in or posting.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
• You must not try to access another person's account or bypass security checks.

Usernames

Usernames are public and unique. Do not choose a username that impersonates another person, artist, celebrity, brand, ministry, label, or organisation.

We may block, change, or remove usernames that contain profanity, explicit terms, abusive language, artist names, celebrity names, confusing variants, or anything likely to mislead the public.

Comments, replies, and reactions

Signed-in users can comment on supported chart and news pages. Chart comments belong to the specific chart and published week where they are posted. When a new chart week starts, that week has its own discussion.

• You may edit a comment for a short period after posting, where that feature is available.
• You may like or dislike comments, and your reaction should reflect your own view.
• You must not spam, harass, threaten, defame, abuse, or target people.
• You must not post explicit content, hate speech, private personal information, malware, or commercial spam.
• External links are not allowed in public comments. NGMCharts links may be allowed where relevant.

Moderation

NGMCharts can hide, delete, edit for safety, or restrict comments, replies, usernames, reactions, and accounts where needed to protect the community, the charts, or the service. Moderation decisions may be made by admins or by automated abuse-prevention checks.

We may suspend or delete accounts that repeatedly break these terms, attempt to impersonate others, abuse the service, or interfere with site security.

Account deletion

You can delete your account from your account page. Deleted accounts lose account access and account details are removed or anonymised. Public comments may remain for discussion context, but they will show as from "Deleted User" instead of your username.

Charts and editorial content

NGMCharts publishes chart, music, event, and editorial information for discovery and discussion. We work to keep information accurate, but chart positions, credits, metadata, dates, links, and article details can change or contain errors.

If you spot something wrong, contact us through the site so it can be reviewed. Do not use public comments to submit private takedown requests, legal notices, or confidential corrections.

Google sign-in and account emails

Google sign-in is offered for convenience. If you use Google sign-in, you also agree to Google's own terms and privacy notices. NGMCharts account emails, including confirmation and password reset messages, are automated and may not be monitored for replies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the public account, comment, moderation, artist, and label tools evolve. The updated date at the top of this page shows when this version was last changed.
