Marizu has released his latest body of work, The Good Shepherd EP, a six track project that explores divine guidance, intimacy with God, and the security of being led by the Good Shepherd. The EP dropped on June 19, 2026 via HFP Music and is available on all major streaming platforms.

Marizu Ikechi, the Nigerian UK based Afrosoul singer and songwriter known for his blend of Afrobeats, soul, and contemporary gospel, delivers a project that leans into stillness and trust. Each track is built around the central truth that God is not distant but present, leading, speaking, and walking with His people through every season.

The EP includes the pre released single “Your Lead” featuring TKE3, which debuted at #14 on the Official UK Christian and Gospel Singles Chart earlier this year. The song captures the beauty of total surrender with its central line, “Where You lead, I enter, I no dey think twice, You know me better.”

The Good Shepherd EP is not a high energy praise project. It is an intimate listening experience. Marizu’s signature minimalist production and warm vocal delivery create space for reflection. Marizu is the son of legendary Nigerian gospel reggae artist Buchi Atuonwu, but he has carved his own lane in the AfroGospel space. Since his debut project Chapter 1, Vol. 1 in 2020, he has built a discography that includes the EPs Deity (2021), Quiet Time (2021), Masterpiece (2023), and the album Forever (2022).
