NGMCharts has expanded its weekly chart lineup with the introduction of the Emerging 30, a new ranking designed to highlight the next generation of Nigerian gospel artists finding their audience across streaming platforms.
The 30 position chart, launching today, sits alongside the existing Top 50, Worship, Praise, and Afro Gospel charts, giving emerging voices a dedicated space to build visibility as they grow. Where the main Top 50 reflects the full landscape of Nigerian gospel music, the Emerging 30 focuses on songs and artists who are still gaining traction on YouTube, Spotify, and Audiomack.
“The Emerging 30 is about creating a bridge,” said an NGMCharts spokesperson. “We already have a chart that tells you what is happening right now in Nigerian gospel music. This one tells you what is coming next. It gives rising artists a platform to be discovered and gives listeners a reason to pay attention to names they may not know yet.”
The chart ranks songs based on streaming activity, with the goal of capturing momentum early. Artists who gain enough traction on the main charts graduate from the Emerging 30, making room for new names to cycle in each week. The result is a constantly rotating lineup that reflects the freshest sounds bubbling up across the Nigerian gospel scene.
The Emerging 30 arrives at a time when Nigerian gospel music is reaching wider audiences than ever before, both at home and across the diaspora. The new chart gives emerging artists a clearer path to recognition and gives fans a reliable place to discover the genre’s next wave before it hits the mainstream.
